Blog Candy -- Free Stickers!

Just a fast note with some Blog Candy! We just received some cute "buddies" stickers from EK Success and they are just perfect for scrapbooking or card making! There is a free set of "buddies" stickers for the first 24 people who sign up for our blog's feed! The only catch is, you must be able to pick them up at the store (or actual postage applies)! That's it! Tell a friend to sign up and maybe they'll share the stickers with you -- the stickers are after all about friendship! (sayings on the stickers include "best friends", "what would I do without you?", and "I'll be there for you")! Have a great day! -Christina

Scrappin' On Sundays...

Another week has past by... I can not believe that fall has officially arrived

Another busy weekend at Windy City Scrapbooking

Here is your SOS...

For all of those who came out to our 1st Open House...Thank you, Thank you, Thank you, so much
It went over very well and as you can see, our instructors have been working very hard to create projects that you will learn so much from.
We had everything at the Open House from Holiday Gift Tags with Jen to Canvas Books with Melissa, and we are even ready to keep the youngest scrapper happy with our Mommy and Me Ornament class and Paper Dolls classes with Angie. If you did not get a chance to come by the store for the sneak peaks this past weekend, make sure you do stop by as there are samples in the store. We really do hope that you will try to take a few of our classes as they not only make great gift ideas but they will also teach you new techniques to add to your scrapbook projects. We will also try to keep you updated with current trends in the scrapbooking industry.

Speaking of scrapbooking industry, we are still receiving new product in daily from this past summer's CHA show that was in Chicago. The long anticipated URBAN LILLY has made it's debut in our store and it is yummy. There are papers and rub-ons and even some blank books for you to enjoy. Luxe Designs, to whom we are a full service retailer for, has released two new lines in our store. I just love how they come up with the cool names for their paper lines. We now have the "Ex-Boyfriends" line that has pretty fall colors and the "Bustier" line that has rock star names to its papers like Lauper, Bowie, and Hendrix. Luxe has also come out with cool transparencies that are too cute along with more ribbons. We also have new Autumn Leaves stamps and Heidi Swapp new items have come in too. We have her new clear stamps and new flowers along with metallic rubons and new masks and BLING...just to name a few. A new Junkitz line called "School Dayz" came in too and since my twins will finally return to their preschool program tomorrow I am excited to get this for future layouts. Now you know of course, I do not have photos to show of all the new products because I want everyone to come down to the store and see it...it looks better in person. Psst...I even heard that some new Basic Grey Chipboard was seen at the store too!!!

Be sure to visit us this weekend for our Scrap Pink Crop. We have 3 days of cropping going on and 10% of all sales the whole weekend will go to the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation. We still have spots available for Friday night's crop (5:30-11:30 pm) and Sunday day's crop (11-5 pm). There is just one spot left for Saturday's All day crop (10am-11pm)...feel free to visit the website http://www.windycityscrapbooking.com/ or call the store @ 773-935-0585 for more information or to register.

Til next Sunday

Oh My Gosh - I'm in Quickutz heaven !

We had our second QT (Quickutz Club) Meeting on Sunday. I even tried to get a sneak peek before Sunday - but it was a NO GO!! You would think this is a TOP SECRET Mission. LOL

Jen (moderator) handed out a really fun tag to make. It was really cute! I don't know about you, but I was very anxious about the new release. So we blah, blah, blah some more and then finally the moment I was waiting for!

Christina walked in carrying a black box! I watched her take out a handful of plastic Quickutz packages. She slowly turned the first item and it was a . . . to be continued (just kidding) LOL

Halloween Dies!!!!

They are absolutely gorgeous!! All of sudden ideas were streaming through my head. I'll need this one and this one and ...

Can you tell that Halloween is a favorite holiday?

Okay so I thought WOW how great. But wait - she went back to her black box and picked up some more packages. Yes more new dies this time they were Thanksgiving Dies! Naked Ones Too! LOL

But That's Not All!!

Here she goes again into that little black box! At this point I am overwhelmed and can't believe there is more coming.

You guessed it! New Christmas Dies!!! WoooHoooo!!!!!!!!!!!
Yes it was Christmas in September!!!

Now the best news - I picked several and I mean several of these new dies. I handed over that little bit of plastic. I was really almost afraid to look at the total. In my mind I had each of the new dies justified. These were going to be an early Christmas present to me. OK I slowly peak at the total and I was so pleasantly surprised. I forgot, I'm a Quickutz Club QT and we get a 30% discount!! I walked out with my new dies and a big ol' smile on my face.

Thanks Jen and Christina - can't wait till next month's meeting.

grace :)

PS This month's free die was the elf Stocking. Christina showed us that it even has a little crown on it.
