Scrappin On Sundays...

Hello everyone...

Hope that everyone had a HAPPY EASTER!!!

Missed you guys last week but I am back
We have really been busy at Windy City Scrapbooking with CHA, Melodee, new merchandise arriving daily...just so much that it has been hard to keep up, but exciting at the same time.

Here is your SOS for this week

So we were closed today for the holiday and I hope that it was enjoyable for you and yours
I have seen enough Easter eggs, fake grass, and jelly beans to last me for a while.

We will reopen tomorrow, Monday, March 24th and will have our regular hours.

Do not forget to check out our coupons page on our website...I read that it is a BOGO...Buy One, Get One and it is a good one
For our classes for this week, here is the run down:
Melissa is teaching her Wall Monogram class, I am teaching Beyond Basics (great class to learn more techniques to add to your pages), Grace is doing a Spring Break project for those who have spring break this week. She taught this class last week and I heard that the young ladies that took the class had a great time and lunch is also provided. Michealene has her Birthday Rolodex class which is cute way to showcase the birthdays in your life. Sesil will be teaching the Inner Circle Album...this is from Rusty Pickle and it is very interactive and she is also teaching a Basics class this week. Angie is doing Paper Dolls over the weekend (great Mommy and Me class) and I am doing my Birthday Acrylic Album class.
Along with all of our classes, we will also have Happy Hours this week (make sure to check the website for upcoming projects) and we have our CROP NIGHT this Friday, the 28th. Sesil and I will be working this crop and we promise you croppers will have a great time.
Keep in mind that Thursday, March 27th is Double Points Day so this is also a good day to come into the store
As always...new items are arriving daily...to be truthful, I have not been at work in 5 days so I am excited to see what has come in new.
Have a great week
Stop by to say HI

Look what the Easter Bunny brought early...

Good Friday everyone! I am assuming most of you are at home curled up on the sofa thinking what are we doing with snow on March 21st for! I cannot believe how much snow we did get. Evan is so concerned about the Easter Bunny hiding eggs for him that I hope it melts by Sunday! He thinks the Easter Bunny won't leave them in the snow because they will just get covered up by the snow so nobody will be able to find them!(The mind of a 4 year old is so interesting!)

Here are a few more photos of new items that are now in stock!

Rain Dot titles and words and shapes by Cloud 9 Designs!(Many different themes...sports, dance, wedding, baby, etc!)

Here is a wonderful line by The Paper Loft! It is called Grandma's House!
It will work great with Heritage as well as you could use it for more masculine layouts as well. It has the cutest quote cards to go with it! The papers are double sided and I bet you will want most of them! There is even a new family tree paper as well!

Heidi Grace has some new shimmer and flocked papers from the line A Bird's House. They are so cute and springy!
Happy Weekend to you all!

WOW! What a weekend!

(Melodee's 7 year old son took this!)

This past week whirled by right before my eyes! I cannot believe that CKU is over and done with! And I am really sad that Melodee's classes are already completed! We had SUCH a good time! I have to say I think that Melodee is one of the best TEACHER'S I have ever taken a class from!

She has so many little tidbits to share with you and they are all so important! Plus she has the best smile and her family is to die for!(Her son was sick this weekend, so he did not get to enjoy Chicago as much as I am sure he could have if he had been 100%! There is always next time though!)

Thank you to all of you who came and took Melodee's classes. Please let us know what you thought and feel free to post some pictures of the albums you did! I know some us did some mixing up with the books just to make them our own! I have to say even though I am bone tired, I am really inspired to get scrapping after taking these classes. Here a few pictures from the weekend!

And just by chance if you did take Melodee's class and you went home with a stamp set can you let us know! We are missing one of her sets that was a part of the class and we would love to return it to her! If you have it you can mail it to the store or drop it off anytime. The set I am talking about has not even been released yet-so if you know where it is feel free to email me at classes@windycityscrapbooking.com and LMK! Thanks!

Thank you as well to all of you from CKU who came and shopped at Windy City Scrapbooking! We really appreciate you supporting the Local Scrapbook Store! We still have some CKU items left if you are interested in them please feel free to call the store and we will help you out!

TTFN! I am off to bed to catch up on some sleep!

Scrapping on Sundays...

Hello everyone...

Sorry that I did not post last Sunday on March 2nd...It was my husband's 40th birthday on that day and I was so busy that I did not get a chance to post

Here is you SOS for this Sunday, March 9th.
So we have alot going on at Windy City Scrapbooking this week as
CREATIVTY IS IN BLOOM (this is the theme for our window this month...Melissa did an AWESOME job with the window)

We have our Card Club class tomorrow evening with Grace along with our Stitchery class on Tuesday evening with Angela...both classes are great and full of techniques and tips to add to your projects this month...you may call and register over the phone.

Also, CKU comes to the Chicago land area this week and we have extended hours starting on Wednesday evening. Check out our website for more details with our extended hours...We are going to need the extended hours as the staff has been in overdrive trying to receive new merchandise that has been arriving daily. I spotted some KI Memories boxes in the back along with Doodlebug and I even heard that we have Glitz in too. We have new EK Success products in along with some new idea books...I spotted April's Creating Keepsakes magazine along with the new Photo Freedom by Stacy Julian...I am such an idea book junkie so I love when we get these in.

Also...I feel as though alot of our customers have not been looking at our coupon page...Make sure that you look at the coupon page on our website before you come into the store as you can get additional savings on your purchases.
http://www.windycityscrapbooking.com/

Finally, which I think we are all excited about is our guest teacher Melodee Langworthy. She is teaching 3 different classes this weekend, Saturday the 15th and Sunday the 16th and spots are filling up fast. Check out Susan's previous post or our website for more details about the classes and give us a call or stop by to register for your spot. Her projects are in the store and you will not be disappointed as they are beautiful.

So you know...my camera is still broken and I have not tried to purchase a new one so I do not have any photos to show you as Susan stated in her last post...but I do invite you to come into the store to see all the new goodies and to hang out with the WCS crew. I will literally be there EVERY DAY so stop on by and see all of us.
