The Weekend is here...

Hello everyone! I just got back from the store and I have to tell you I am SO excited to take one of Danelle's classes tomorrow. We were getting the kits ready and now I want to buy the other kit as well because it looked like so much fun! I think Danelle has great instructions and the projects look so cute! I will make sure I post some pictures tomorrow night of the class and the project we did.

As we go into the weekend I cannot believe it is already December. Have you started on your holiday cards yet??? I sure hope so. If not, come on in Windy City and let us help you pick out some great elements that could work for you! Have FUN while you are making them-everyone loves getting mail, but everyone LOVES getting handmade items!

I know this weekend we will have some new product from Autumn Leaves and I don't think this will last long in the store as it is so CUTE! I already have most of my holiday stuff but I figure I will be buying some of this as well.

There are some great classes this week, there is the Card Club class on Monday, it is not to late to learn how to create those Holiday cards and Grace, the instructor, always has a card that wows me everytime I see one...she is so talented and loves to share her knowledge and joy of cardmaking. I Can't Believe It...

Decisions, Decisions, Decisions...

Hello everyone! I hope you are all enjoying the fall weather. We have had lots of fun in our house this week playing outside in the leaves! Tonight at work once again I had another decision I was trying to make. I am trying to decide which class to take when Danelle Johnson is going to be here on November 30th. I think they are both so cute--which one do you think I should take? And are you going to take it with me??? Check out our website to see both of the projects that she is doing- www.windycityscrapbooking.com/classes.htm I already know I am going to do the Happy Hour as well because I have had so much fun making these projects already. I love the concept that they are quick and easy project to do!(Some are more involved then others :) And they are so simple to repeat once you have made the first one!



And did you hear that Mr. Pickle himself is going to be teaching at Windy City Scrapbooking on November 18th at 4:00p.m.? Do you not know who Mr. Pickle is??? It is Lance from Rusty Pickle! He is a hoot to take a class with--you always learn new things with him and laugh quite a lot as well.


I also thought I would let those you who have been waiting patiently for the KI Memories Pop Culture Lace papers--they are in and they are FABULOUS! You have to come in and check them out. I don't think they will last long as I know lots of people have been talking these papers forever it seems.

I hope to post more this weekend about what is new at the store and maybe even show a few layouts! Hope to see you this week!

1st Annual Holiday Card Swap on December 2nd

Here's a great way to get your holiday cards done. You're Invited to Participate in a Holiday Card Swap.

The rules are simple: Make 6 cards (w/envelopes) and get five different cards back. 1 card will be given to Children's Memorial Hospital after a short display at Windy City. If you would like to be part of muliple groups you can make 12 cards and get 10 cards back and so on. It is really up to you.

The day of the swap we will randomly draw groups of 6 and the swap fun can begin. It's a lot of fun to see what others create. You don't have to attend to be part of the swap - but your cards need to be received by December 1st.

Scrapping On Sundays...

Hello everyone,

I hope that everyone had a great weekend and ready for new week...I am recovering still from my Scrap and Spa weekend and I was bitten by a stomach virus a few days ago so I am trying to bounce back from that too...not to mention with daylight savings time going backwards last night...someone forgot to tell my twins, Alex and Allegra, and they were up at 6:30 this morning...I was not happy scapper.

Okay so...last Sunday, I wrote about my spa weekend and I mentioned that I was going to post photos but I did not...well...here you go. Also...I have had alot of people inquire about the place I visited...it is called Scrap and Spa and it is located in Michigan City, Indiana ( http://www.scrapandspa.com/ ) The owner Diane Anderson is a gem...I accidentally forgot one of my cropper hoppers last weekend and she brought it back to me today. She and her daughter took my Acrylic Frame class and had a great time...

So, last Sunday I had my first Scrappin On Sundays contest as to guess how many pages I completed during my retreat...well, I must say that SYLV was close enough. SYLV guessed that I did 15 pages when I did 13 pages. That may not be alot for some but for me it was alot. I will be posting those soon too. What to buy...

I worked all day today and I just could not decide on what I wanted to buy first. The stamps from Hampton Arts came in to coordinate with Creative Cafe and they are just so darn cute! I LOVE all the glitter papers that have come in. I know everyone likes a little bit of bling but how can you decide what bling to buy(I told my husband it is cheaper for me to buy the bling at Windy City instead of the jewelry store and he said "I am not so sure of that!". LOL)Plus every time someone would come up to the register I felt like there was something new I had not seen yet.

But the big question is which of the Quickutz gift sets should I get??? I am having a really hard time deciding! Can you help me out? LMK which one you have buy posting a picture of something you have already done! I really want to get one because since I am a part of the QK QT club I am doing my first ever card swap and I really want my cards to picked! :)
